Meal Plan Basics
When does the meal plan start?
Meal plans start on the first day of orientation.
Where can I use my meal plan?
You can use your meal plan swipes at MacDonald Dining Center and Farrell Commons for all-you-care-to-eat dining. Meal equivalency can also be used at Farrell Commons, Sushi-Do, and Treat Street at a value of up to $6.75 for breakfast and $9.75 for lunch, dinner, and late night. Bronco Bucks may be used towards all food and beverage purchases at all campus dining locations.
Am I required to have a meal plan? If so, why?
Participation in the meal plan is an important part of the support system provided by living on campus. It is one element that enhances the academic efforts and social adjustment of new students and provides health and convenience benefits to all students.
All students living on campus are required to be on a meal plan. On-campus students will automatically be billed for the 14 Plan. If the 14 Plan is not your plan of choice, you must change your meal plan at Residence Life. Visit Student Housing Management Access and follow the directions from there. You only have the first 10 days of classes to make a change, so don't delay!
For off-campus students and residents of Riverview Townhouses meal plans are optional but recommended. Meal plan participants must adhere to all meal plan change/cancellation policies once a plan is purchased.
How do I select my meal plan? When is the deadline?
The deadline to select your meal plan is the Friday of the 2nd week of classes. Commuter students may select a meal plan at any time, selections must be made in person at the CADI office. If a plan is added after the Friday of the 2nd week of classes it will not be added to the student bill and must be paid for in person.
If I don't live on campus, can I still get a meal plan?
Yes! Off-campus studens and residents of Riverview Townhouses may purchase any meal plan we offer. You can add a meal plan today by visiting Student Housing Management Access.
How do I cancel or make changes to my meal plan selection?
All residential students are required to be on a meal plan. To change your meal plan selection, visit Student Housing Management Access and follow the directions from there. You only have the first 10 days of classes to make a change, so don't delay!
Are guests allowed?
Guests are allowed. Guests without a meal plan can use cash or credit to purchase a meal. The 10, 14, and 19 meal plans also come with bonus meals that you can use for guests!
What if I have special dietary needs?
Bronco Dining works to provide a variety of menu options for those with food allergies, intolerances, and/or special dietary needs. All menu boards make it easy to identify the top 9 most common food allergies which are: fish, shellfish, tree nuts, peanuts, sesame, wheat, soy, eggs, and dairy. However, the occurrence of product substitutions and last-minute menu changes are possible, which may affect the accuracy of menu boards/signage. Please communicate any food allergy concerns with the dining manager.
Simply 3 is a station in Farrell Commons that provides safe and appetizing food choices for our customers with food allergies and gluten intolerance. All foods served at this station are prepared with ingredients that do not contain milk, nuts (peanuts and tree nuts), or gluten.
If you need additional support, our registered dietitian Dr. Kelly Martin DCN, RDN, CDN, is available for free consultations to assist with finding options for any dietary needs or preferences. You can contact Kelly at (607) 436-2764 or by email: martinkk@delhi.edu.
When does the meal plan end?
Meal plans end the day students leave for break. The final day for Fall 2025 is December 12th.
